Small Scale Stand Alone Hybrid Solar PV and Wind Energy Generation System for EE 452 Lab

As future engineers, we want our work to benefit society. We also believe that as engineers, we have the duty of leaving the world no worse than arrived. Currently, the environmental status of the world is detrimental. In 2015, the United States produced 1,763 million metric tonsof carbon emissions. At this rate, temperatures will begin to rise by 2.5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the reason why our goal is to design and develop a small scale stand alone hybrid solar pv and wind energy generation system that can be used in a lab envrionment. Students will be able to learn about the benefits of clean energy in a lab setting and apply them towards a career that helps provide a cleaner, safer and healthy energy future for the United States and the world.
